The Steelers trimmed their roster to the required 80 players early this morning. The team cut Chris Ellis (LB) and rookies Anthony Gray (DT), Niles Brinkley (CB) and Terrance McCrae (WR)
Can't say that any are a shock to get cut, but I am shocked at the timing. Anthony Gray and Terrance McCrae have both played well in the pre-season and I thought would at least make it to the next cuts and possibly get on the practice squad.
The Steelers must trim their roster down to 53 players by 6pm Saturday. I will make my final roster predictions Friday, so check back.
